A modern villa built in typical Cycladean style, being cubic and whitewashed with blue windows and doors and lots of natural stone walls, Villa Thaleia combines a rustic charm with the amenities of modern living. The house sits well within the landscape being surrounded by many olive trees, indigenous shrubs and beds of naturalistic planting. From the terrace, you can see one of the traditional white windmills of the island.
The clean-lined, contemporary interiors are predominantly finished in white with touches of blue. Bedrooms are split across the two floors, two en-suite and two suitable for children sharing a shower room. A further en-suite bedroom with a separate entrance is in an annexe. On the ground floor, the open-plan living/kitchen area has several sets of doors leading onto the outside terrace.
Outdoor living is well catered for; there’s a large shaded lounge area with an L-shaped banquette, a pool bar and two dining areas, the larger seating 10. The sparkling pool is surrounded by sun beds and large bean bag loungers for lazing in the sun. From the terrace here you can see the distant mountains.
